Gunung Kawi temple is thought to have made into a sojourn or hermitage by Mahareshi of java. Rishi Markandeya hundreds of years ago. At that time, he made the pilgrimage mission from Java to Bali. just pay a call on this place , but also to worship with simple
offerings related to melukat ( purification bath ) in the hope they can
avoid illness , obstacles and disasters . foreign tourists started
visiting this temple since 1976 .
